| This year's Ladies Helm race was triumph of tide over wind. The departure from Yarmouth began with a light breeze which weakened to a mere zephyr. Many gave up and resorted to the iron topsail as the tide prevented the rounding of marks. The course had to be shortened but through focused perseverance, use of a tidal wind and encouragement from Mark, Amanda Pirie steered blush to win the Ladies Helm race for a second time. Well done Amanda. |
