You may have seen from the latest club Eshot that the Membership Team are holding the above event on Sunday 11th March 2012, starting at 12.00 and finishing around 14.30, or whenever people wish to leave. Vicky at Appetite will be providing a full lunch menu - see below.
This is very much an informal event designed to allow members to enjoy a relaxed environment in which to get to know other members. There will be no formal speeches or presentations, but plenty of opportunity to pick up hints and tips about how to get the most out of your club. In particular the Membership Team wish to provide the opportunity for the following;

Allow temporary members to find & get to know potential proposers & seconders for full membership
Help members get to know one another with a view to mutual sailing, without obligation.
Examine the potential for “get to know you” short sailing experiences to establish if members will be happy sailing with each other over longer durations
Look at the availability for crew spaces and crew for the forthcoming rally season
Find out what training or refresher training members want
This list is not intended to be prescriptive. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see included please let me know. The sailing season will soon be upon us and this event may be just the opportunity to make a great start to sailing in 2012.
