On the River there are a number of permanent moorings for craft up to 40', many on a long pontoon opposite the Club, for which there is an annual draw. A launch service is available to transport members and their crews between the club and their yacht on its mooring. The launch service is available year round at weekends with extended hours in summer.
Club Launches
The club has two manned launches available to ferry members and their families back and forth to your boat on the Hamble. This facility provides a fantastic convenience compared to using your own tenders, particularly when you are loaded for the weekend!
The bosuns provide this service on Friday afternoon until dusk (BST), then from 0800 to dusk on Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holiday Mondays. Contact the bosuns in their shed, on VHF Channel 77 call sign "Spitfire" or by mobile phone using a number published in the club house.
Scrubbin g Berths The Club's 2 scrubbing berths are a first-class facility offering our members an opportunity to clean off, anti-foul, or perform repairs on their boats between tides. The facility has a built in pressure washer and wash down hose, a mains electrical hook-up, an accurate tide gauge and numerous points of attachment for halyards and mooring lines. The berths are also out of the main run of tide on the river, considerably easing access.
The club has a slipway with a powered winch to assist members recover their tenders. There is also a short stay pontoon providing easy access for loading and offloading.
Port Hamble Marina There is direct and exclusive access to Port Hamble Marina for those members who keep launches or ribs on 'Q' pontoon, or for those who moor their yachts in the Marina.
Dinghy Park
The club provides a number of areas allocated for storage of dinghies in various accessible formats including afloat on a hammerhead pontoon, on trolleys in the dinghy park and in racking. All areas have easy access to the water via the club slipway
